As co-owner and voice artist for JDescribe, Melissa is thrilled to be working in such an incredibly unique and crucial area of narration. Her experience as a dv narrator includes hundreds of films, television shows and promos in both adult and childrens/animation genres. She is a commercial voice artist as well as audiobook narrator and singer. Melissa's passion for just about everything behind the microphone began at a very early age as she started microphone technique, theory and piano as a child. Her interests soon broadened towards singing and voice acting as she has completed several jingles and two cds- ‘checkered past’ & ‘poppy’. Melissa studied at York University and Ryerson, as well as The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. In 2009 she won an award for her narration from the ‘IAAIS’. She is excited to be working with such talented, passionate and experienced colleagues at JDescribe. |
Danielle Lewi-Narrator-French

Thanks to her extensive experience as a dubbing artist in Paris, France, plus several years of theatre training, Danielle has been able to pursue a career in French commercial voice-overs, for a number of companies in Toronto, including McIntyre Advertising Agency, Galaviz & Hauber for FTV, the French Discovery Channel, Imax, and, for several years, The Accessible Channel as a DV Narrator on a vast number of Series and Dramas. Apart from the theatre, Danielle studied at the Sorbonne in Paris, and graduated in Arts & Literature. Her love for voice acting makes her a perfect resource for JDescribe where she revels in a perfect work environment. |
Steve Thamer-Narrator

Steve’s background includes dv narration for ten years plus 1000 hours of recording films, television shows and promos. Steve is also a trained musician/flute player and considers this a great passion for him as well, performing in his own musical duo regularly. He has worked with some incredible actors allowing him to develop his own unique sound and delivery not often found in most voice artists. Whether mystery/suspense or children’s programming, Steve brings them all to life with his perfect diction, delivery and booming baritone voice. He has acted at the Upstage Theatre, Toronto Free Theatre, and Jacques Brel Theatre. He’s performed in many Shakespearean plays as well as trained as a stage actor for the Master Class for Drama at the Banff School of Fine Arts. Steve began performing in high school musicals and community theatre & his work and passion for dv narration truly speaks for itself. |
